Theater of the Mind is an immersive theater experience first performed for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in September 2022.

Co-created by Academy, Grammy, and Tony Award-winning artist David Byrne* and writer Mala Gaonkar, Theater of the Mind is a new theatrical experience you’ll see, feel, taste and hear. Inspired by both historical and current neuroscience research, the show takes you on an immersive journey inside how we see and create our worlds.
Brooklyn Research worked as technology consultants on the experience. One component of the work was to develop the hardware and software platform for real-time spherical, stereoscopic remote viewing for multiple people as part of the experience. This involved consulting, prototyping, electrical design, interaction design, game programming, and hardware design.
