Brooklyn Research worked with Brooklyn Model Works to help design and fabricate an automated selfie stick for the television show UnReal on Lifetime. The automated selfie stick allowed users to control the distance of the phone/camera to the user. High powered LED lights were installed that users could control by the push of a button. When the LEDs were not in use they would detract behind the phone/camera. Centrifugal fans were installed that users could control from a sliding switch. The sliding switch also doubled to reveal the fans when a user wanted to turn them on. Bluetooth functionality allows users to take a picture remotely. The whole unit was battery powered to allow for easy transportability.

Brooklyn Research designed, prototyped, and fabricated all of the electrical engineering portion of this device. Brooklyn Research collaborated with Brooklyn Model Works on the mechanical design and helped to design some of the physical structure.
